[ Well... this was the first time Asbel has ever done something like this, so saying he was nervous could be an understatement. It takes the boy a moment to actually turn on the feed; fiddling with it for a moment as he ran his fingers through the contact list. Eventually it reached his "wife's" name, and with the small amount of courage the boy was maintaining, opened the video for a call. ]

Uh... hey Sakura? When you get this, try and call me back!

There is— [ A small pause. His voice becoming rigid as he scrambled for the right words. ] —something I wanted to ask you.

[ Luckily, he caught her when she was done throwing anchors in the Hinanawi Colosseum... don't ask, but she could do that, and she somehow enjoyed the activity. It was all good training, after regaining most of her strength back.

She'll call back about fifteen minutes later. Using a cellphone was something she never did back in her world, and learning was a little hard, but eventually she did with the help of Chihiro. Good programmer, best friend.

Hm? Something he should tell her? Her brows knit together... did Junko bother him? After she told him about their daughter and what she's done, she was sure the two of them would stay the hell away from each other, or at least Asbel would be careful around her. Her image flickers, her stare impertubable as always. ]

I am available. What is on your mind, Asbel?

[ Asbel had begun to get use to Sakura's daily routines. He was well aware of how focused she was in her training, and often found himself wanted to see her off before she went to do said training. This day in particular so he could discuss this face to face... but Asbel was never the proper morning person in the first place. So calling her was just going to have to do!

He waited patiently for the call to be returned, manually mouthing the words he would say to himself by the time she answered back.

No no, it was nothing like that. Everything was fine in his kawaii family so far, and Asbel was determined to keep it that way! That's why this next conversation was so important to him... ]

Uh, hey! That was quick! Did you finish practicing already? [ Wait... he's beating around the brush. He needs to just straight to the point.

Deep breath. Deep breaths. This shouldn't be that hard, right? ]

Actually I was wondering if you had any plans for tonight...?

[ Sakura studies his expression thoroughly. He does look quite troubled, and for a moment she does wonder if it was their daughter that did this to him. Alas, there is no way to know until she asks him, but--

... His request just now gains him an odd stare from her. ]

Plans? I did not set a schedule for tonight. I am on my way home right now.

[ Odd stares he could deal with. Maybe. If anything it helped him focus, knowing how in tune with the conversation she had become.

A hand gently reaches up to rub the back of his head before he spoke. Eye contact slowly drawing away from the screen. ]

Ah well, I was just wondering because... I mean we haven't done anything together lately, you know?

[ Ugh that didn't make any sense. Hold on. ]

I just thought that we could go someone tonight. [ A pause before he adds: ] ... Just the two of us?

[ ... Ah. The frown of her face loosens up considerably. So it was just that, a chance to bond further, perhaps over their family duties. That's right, they're husband and wife, they should act more like the roles they were given. Not that they didn't do enough yet, living in the same house, sharing houseworks and the like, and that one time they colored those eggs was rather endearing.

Though, ever since the arrival of Junko, there was less time to share together, and it was more about Sakura making sure the new daughter wouldn't cause any sort of trouble, and above all, protecting her friends from such a person. She didn't like to admit it, but she needed a break. ]

Are you offering to go on an appointment together? [ That's a rather neutral word, but saying "date" would be awkward to her. It's not that she was completely unaware of romantic knowledge, since she had someone special in her life at one point - but in Asbel's case, such feelings are next to non-existant. ]

[ There really wasn't much he was going on when making this call. It was almost on impulse this took place. He was never one for thinking things all the way through in the first place. Rather to go by his instinct and play it by hear. This just happened to be one of those situations.

Recently, he had noticed how Sakura had been acting, mainly due to their new house guest. There wasn't much they could do about their living situation as a whole with her, but Asbel had scrambled through his mind to find something he could do to help her. In the end, this was the only thing that had come clear to mind.

If they just had some time to themselves... well, maybe it would make things a little better. Or so he thought. ]

An appointment? Yeah, I guess you could all it that. [ The unsureness in his voice was obvious enough to assume he didn't think this through, but nevertheless the boy looks determined. ]

We could go out to eat somewhere! I know you must be pretty tired of my cooking. [ A dry chuckle, but he continues calmly. ] Or maybe a walk around the park? It's getting a little chilly, but I'm sure there has to be something nice going around.

... That is, if you're up to it. You must be pretty tired from training and all.

[ At the very least, he'd be glad to know that his rushed decision was a good call in this case. Sakura relaxes her stance a little, and offers a really faint smile. Yeah, a break sounds like a good idea, even if it's as risky as letting a rabid dog out for that moment.

Although she doesn't like the way he put his own cooking down - ok it wasn't really the tastiest stuff, but it still had enough nutrients to go on with the day, and he was trying all his best to make her find something to eat after a long day of work. ]

I do appreciate your efforts to let us have dinner everyday. [ And she was hungry. Not enough tired, but hungry, yeah. Maybe something new would be refreshing. ] I would not mind whether activity you are offering me to do. I am not tired, but I could use a cup of tea.

[ Asbel notices her posture becoming more relax, and because of this is able to speak up a little better. Knowing that she was becoming comfortable with the idea help him, as well! ]

Ahaha. Thanks, Sakura. [ He really is trying, but he doesn't understand why it was so difficult. Cheria and the others made it look so easy... ] But I know with practice that one day I'll be able to make a meal we can all enjoy together.

[ Ah! But was she... accepting? Really? The thought of her dismissal was never that present, but it did somehow shock the boy into widening his eyes. Alright, the first step had finally been taken and now he could actually move on to the plan of action! ]

Great! So we'll defiantly do something tonight. [ He was... actually excited about this? It was a nice feeling, something he smile about. ] Oh, tea? I can get you some tea! It'll be ready the the time you get home, okay?

I am plenty sure that you shall improve with time. No discipline goes without development when you train hard enough to reach your goals.

[ Sensei Sakura has spoken-- but yes, she's accepting this. And as she had to stop on her tracks to call him, she's now resuming her walk. The camera shifts consequently, showing another angle of the wrestler as she looks forward. ]

I thank you wholeheartedly, Asbel. I shall make haste in time for the tea to be ready.

Yeah! Just like training will make you stronger, training in cooking will make me get stronger, too! ... Well, a different kind of stronger.

[ Wow this sounds so lame. Why is she the one training her boy while he's in the kitchen?? THIS ROLE. ] Um well... maybe I can go training with you sometime! I want to work on getting stronger, too.

[ Anyways, but tea... right! He'll jostle the camera momentarily on his way back to the kitchen. Pfff. ]

Great! So I'll... see you when you get here, then?

You may put it that way, as well. [ Somehow, this guy reminds her of someone she used to know. He's got plenty of potential, and it gives her more of a motivation to stick by him, aside the family obligations.

When he offers to train together, her smile forms anew. ]

Of course. If you truly feel the desire to be a stronger warrior, I shall accomplish your wishes by allowing you to train with me. [ She's done the same with Ishimaru, after all. He had a hard time surviving the training, though. ] One word of warning. I am an inflexible teacher, and I do never hold back. I would hope that is not going to discourage you.

[ Yep, tea. A nod as she keeps walking. ] We could discuss this once I am home.

That isn't a very good way to put it, is there? [ A dry chuckle, but he'll keep it where it is. Food training has to be beneficial in some way... and not just for their stomachs. ]

Yes, I do. Even though this place seems peaceful, I don't want to lose what I already have... and that's my desire to protect my friends! [ And family now, too. He wants to be strong that they look up to him, no matter what. ] I think I can handle that, so you don't have to worry about holding back!

[ He's totally ready for this... well, after tea time, at least. ] That's fine. It will be ready soon, anyways.

[ Nod, nod. That's what she wanted to hear from him- not about the food part, of course, but the training. Any normal person would have chickened out the moment she gave that forewarning, so that actually means a lot more to her than you'd think.

Deciding to put the talk aside, she proceeds at a faster speed. ]

I shall be there shortly. [ And with that she ends the call, tucking the phone back in her skirt pocket. Honey I'm gonna be home soon~ ]
